    Lee Trevino for his personality
    Jack Nicklaus for the obvious

Although I have respect for the early stars (Hogan, Snead, Nelson) I started watching golf on TV with Palmer, Nicklaus, Watson and Trevino. They were great, but there were 4 golfers that came along that I loved to watch play more than any. Couples, Calcavechia, Payne Stewart, and Greg Norman. Of those, Fred Couples would have to be my favorite golfer of all time. I love to watch Tiger when he's at his best, and Rory is fun to watch too, but Couples is the guy.

The more I see and hear from Matt Kuchar, the more I like him. Seems like a very genuine person.

Tom Watson. He just turned pro when I started playing in junior high school. I loved his style, he was bold and daring (and sometimes paid for it) but was a great scrambler. He was one of the main reasons I got interested in golf and learned to love the game. I've met him a couple times and he was always gracious and generous with his time.

I also liked Trevino fro that era, Arnold Palmer from the previous era.

Of the more modern players I like Phil Mickelson -- he's always entertaining and realizes that part of the job is giving back to the fans. Of the youngest group of players I like Rory McElroy and Keegan Bradley. They have the right stuff and aren't likely to do anything to embarrass themselves or their profession as well as being crazy good golfers.
