uggh chiefs got spanked....Trent Green really got F***'d up, last i heard he had feeling in all his extremeties, but couldn't remember what happened....that punk better get fined.

my fantasy team managed a way to find the lead though!

Green is fine.

Also, that hit was clean, your boy should be staying in the pocket tho, if he can't take a shot LOL ;)

i thought they initiated the slide rule to protect QB's....no?

Green was trying to spark some life into the team...and his O-line wasn't protecting him, so he figures if he's gonna get hit, might as well be on this own terms....but when you slide and expect to be safe and almost get your head torn off what can you do?

If you know quarterbacks are protected why would you come "spearing" in like he did. Nope, fine the sucker. He was trying to hurt someone.

Pats will take the Superbowl, again.

They will beat the Bears in a 1986 rematch.

Bears won't get there. You can't judge how good they are just because they beat the Packers.

Green was not sliding when he got hit. The guys on ESPN thought it was a clean hit. I only saw it in replay, it was a bang-bang play.

Nope, judging by their defense from last year and the improvements in offense with a decent back up QB combined with a weak NFC, I see the Bears contending. That defense can run the table in the playoffs with the lone expception of the Pats :D.

For Trent, it was more of a Bang-Bang-Bang play.......

I really don't know what's going to happen. Any number of teams could end up coming out of a pack which I think could possibly contend:

New England, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Seattle, New York Giants, Carolina, and possbily Philadelphia.

I was very happy to see the Eagles win yesterday, although a cautionary note is that it was against the Houston Texans. But the trade for Donte Stallworth seems to be promising and was necessary. McNabb's best year as a QB was with Terrell Owens on the team, and demonstrates that a QB needs receivers with talent, which for many years was lacking for the Eagles.

McNabb looked healthy yesterday, and I hope it's a sign of a much better season ahead.

RBB,
I think you meant "coming out on top of the Pack" didn't you? (As in Green Bay Pack)....

My point with Chicago was don't judge their offense yet until they play a team with a defense.

Then if they still look good they might be contenders.

Having seen a couple of replays, it's hard to tell if Kennison also had a hand in Geathers hitting Green. Kennison looked like he was trying to block for Green and could have inadvertently pushed Geathers into him as well...

Yeah, Geathers also got pushed by Kennison. I would have been pissed if I was a Chiefs fan.
As a Bengals fan, I definitely felt empathy for the whole Trent Green situation. We were on the receiving end of a borderline dirty play that took our franchise player out for 8 months.

Giants still showing what plagued them last year. Penalties and missed field goals. They outplayed Indy in my book. They had the opputunity to win 5 times over and blew it. My biggest question.... What the Hell is Feely doing back on this team??? He is the biggest choke I think I have ever seen. He nearly missed a friggen extra point. There has got to be someone, probably a dozen someones, who can make a 40yarder or less at least 80% of the time. This game reminded me of the one that got them knocked out of the playoffs. Beat the other team in virtually every statistical category, except the only one that matters. Coughlin is gone if this keeps up. They have too much talent and need to start winning before guys like Strahan, Shockey, Tiki, and Toomer get too old.

Sounds like an act of desperation, doesn't it? And it's only the second game coming up! It's going to be a long season. I can't stand to watch Favre have to play on this kind of team with the new moron coach.
