The Ft-5 is a bore through head so the shaft has to be inserted 2 inches correct?.

It's still possible for the dirver to play 45" even after the .5 inch tip correct.

Just wanna make sure I have all this crap figured out so I dont end up with a 40 inch driver.

The FT-5 is NOT a bore thru. Insertion, assuming you're drilling out the head, is 1.25", the same as the Ft-3.

Is the shaft you're getting a pull?

It's not eigh?.

O kay then.

What about drilling?. I'm not doing anything to it.

I just want this thing to be tipped half an inch and be 45 long.

The Ys will not be a pull. If I buy a Ft-5 it will come straight from Cally brand new with the Ys already in it.

If I reshaft the SQ it will be a brand new shaft.

If it comes from Cally, just ask for a 45" FT-5 with a YS-6+ in it. You're gold then.

They will tip the shaft .5 inch for me wont they?.

Forsure. If you request a stiff flex, it will be installed to manufacturers spec, unless you make a custom request, wherein they will build it to your specs.

For a fee, i'm guessing.

Nope. First year they went away from the Bore Thru.

9*, 10*, 11* and 13* in the non-Tour heads. Tour is 8.5*, 9.5* and 10.5* only.

Dont believe everything you read on the internet.

The YS-6 is one of the best shafts on the market. Dont let its low price fool you.

For your swing speed and tempo ( I have seen your swing), a ys-6+ in S flex is all you need. In fact, check your ego at the door, and start hitting it longer by listening to me LOL. You fall in the bottom end of the S flex, and top end of the R, so meet in the middle and go with the S but only tip 1/2 inch instead of the recommended inch.

Trust me.

Lyle you are absolutly correct! I have a swing speed of 100 mph and I use a YS-6 Stiff on my driver. And a 1/2 inch is all he needs. My I add that this shaft is the best out there for the price.

I hit a $90 wilson Prostaff driver today 3 times that had a PL blue in it. I..liked the feel of the shaft. It felt alot different than the NV just before impact when the shaft was parallel with the ground on the downswing. Also hit nice and straight.

Then hit 3 with the SQ. Yuck.

My bank account will be taking a beating tomorow.
