    Vancouver-area clubmaking/repairs?

I hate Golf Town and Westjet broke my driver. Got a replacement shaft on ebay that I need to get installed. Any recommendations? Thanks!

WTB Aldila NV 65-S .350 tip

You guys don't like the NV? I've always found it super solid without being whippy. It just...worked...for me. Picked up a BB Diablo with a DVS in it and I'm not sure I like it. Doesn't seem to want to load. Either that, or my swing has slowed down dramatically (distinct possibiliyt).

WTB Aldila NV 65-S .350 tip

Definitely don't want a stock Launcher shaft...my Fuji Gold is still hanging around in a box in the crawlspace somewhere as, you're right, it was terrible. I pulled it and replaced it with the NV (which I may have got from you, if I remember correctly). That's why I want the NV...I was really...

WTB Aldila NV 65-S .350 tip

Hey BJ...thanks for the offer. I'm only slightly concerned that a) it won't be the right length and b) about the shim (as I have little to no understanding about shims and how they affect or don't affect things). Not being a clubmaker at all, I don't know enough about it...the length isn't a...

WTB Aldila NV 65-S .350 tip

The shaft in my Cleveland Launcher 460 got busted by the douches at the airport and so I need a new one. Anyone got something kicking around? I don't even know what's fair for them now as they're pretty old and seem to be going on ebay for anything between $8 - $40 for a new one. Thanks!

    Heading to Scottsdale

Verdict - awesome but for Westjet breaking my driver on the way down. Full details and pics to follow...eventually! Quickies: Starfire - $15 for a late twilight including carts...got 9 holes in and enjoyed it. Layout was good, but not phenomenal...price made it great value. Vista Verde - $50...

Thanks Steve - much appreciated! NVM - weather looks a bit iffy, so I'm not sure if it'll be much less wet than here!

    Heading to Scottsdale

Well, looks like it's a go and we're all booked up for the first weekend in Feb. 5.5 rounds in 3.5 days is how it's looking so far. Fly in Thursday around 2pm and try to get 9 holes in somewhere and staying at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort (cheap on priceline and apparently only "ok" but it'll...

    White Marks on Hats

I fight with the same problem...a lot. I try to buy hats made of dri-fit types of material and usually try to buy white hats as well. I still get the white stains and the yellow on white, but I find that semi-frequent washing on the top shelf of the dishwasher (i.e. once I start to notice any...

    iPhone GPS?

Is anyone using any iPhone GPS apps? I tried one today for the first time today...Golf Logix 24 hour trial on a pretty popular course out here (Point Roberts, just across the border in WA). I'm glad it was the free trial because I was pretty unimpressed. #1 problem was the par values were all...
