LyleG,
Thanks for the support!
What kind of player is suited the Diamana Blueboard 83 g4" t stiff shaft?
Is there an issue with the tip diameter of my SQ Tour and the Sumo drivers?
Thanks,
Scott
I was a mold maker/machinist for quite a few years. The guys I apprenticed with, mostly old Germans, taught me to buy the best tools for the job. Not once did they mentioned that the tool needed to look good or look better than another tool that did the same job.
This metaphor doesn't work all...
R35,
Love fest for Nike? No, not at all. It just happens that I when I bought my clubs, I hit the Nike products really well and liked the feel. My next set of irons will be whatever irons I happen to hit and like the feel of the best. Remember, I look at clubs as tools. However, I do find it...
R35,
I make my own decisions. But I like to make informed decisions which is why I asked for opinions. Where did I say that I did not care about the opinions regarding the questions that I asked?
I pointed out that aesthetics made no difference to me and get told that is a "stupid thing to...
R35,
Where in my first post did I mention anything about aesthetics? Read it again and let me know.
The point of my first post was that I felt that I was not ready for playability that the SQ Tour driver offered and that the higher MOI clubs likes the Sumo or Sumo2 might be better suited to my...
Andy,
Really, I don't pay attention to the club. The last time I look at the club is when I am making sure the face is square with the target.
Clubs are tools. Why does the club have to be pleasing to the eye? Saying that it has to be pleasing to the eye is real stupid thing to say. Does a...
Andy,
I don't know about you, but I look at the ball, not the club. I don't care what the club looks like as long as it gets the job done. If the Sumo2 gets the job done the best, that's what I will get.

Folks,
I am thinking about getting one of the Sumo drivers. The SQ Tour (10.5º) that I have now may offer more shot making capabilities than I am prepared to handle. I think I could use the extra MOI offered by the Sumo drivers. I got the SQ Tour with a the Diamana Blueboard 83 g4" t stiff...
Jeez Rock and Fourputt, get those noses out of the air!!! Golf has been making a lot of progress in becoming a game/sport for the masses. That hole is a positive move that in that direction.

Before I got into golf, I was a serious, tournament level, Skeet shooter. At the level I shot at, missing one target took you out of contention.
The best Skeet shooter to ever live is a gentleman named Wayne Mayes. He saw a very good shooter miss a target and get all pissed off that he had...
Folks,
I live in Northern CA now and my wife wants to move closer to her parents in SoCal.
I thought it might be nice to move into a golf community with a private or semi-private club. Anything from the Pasadena area south to San Diego would be considered.
Or should I look at joining a club...
dave,
I don't know about the Callaway FT-i.
But, the Nike Sasquatch Sumo 2 has a 14 percent higher MOI than the Nike Sasquatch Sumo. Considering the Sumo has a higher MOI than the current Sasquatch 460, that means the Sumo 2 is going to be significantly more forgiving to off center hits...
