Looking back over 2019, probably the least I have spent on golf clubs in decades. I did some driver diving early in the year. Had played a G400 for some of 2018 and hated it. Traded for a couple used Callaway drivers. Didn't realize it, but both had been "worked on" by some amateur club builder. Traded them back for an XR16 and have never looked back. Hitting the driver the best I have in years and won't be searching for anything new. If I do find a used XR16 to keep as a backup, might be tempted.
Won the Bettinardi in a drawing. Was handed a really nice Vokey 56 degree by an acquaintance. "Here! I hate this thing! You either take it or it's going in the dumpster!" Don't know of anything else, except a couple gloves and a couple golf shirts during 2019.
Don't have any plans for 2020. Three sets of irons. A bag of extra hybrids, wedges, putters, etc. sit in the basement. The old golf bag is probably getting close to 10 years old, but all the zippers still work and... other than some fading of the colors... is in excellent shape. Haven't purchased balls or tees in 20 years. Buckets of both in the basement. May have to do some minor work on our golf cart. Most of that I can do myself with little out-of-pocket expense.
Life is good!!!!
