Or at least a "fore" would've been nice!
To make a long story short, I was walking off the 1st green and
I get hit in the left upper arm!
Right on the vein running up the middle of my bicep.
I thought it was going to burst!
Stung like Hell too!:faintthud
Is there such a thing???
Ok, let me try and figure out how to ask this question so that it makes sence...
First a prelude.
I played 18 on Saturday with our friend Sandy.
He introduced me to a couple of Cleveland Halo hybrids and a Cleveland #7 wood.
For some reason I just don't seem able to...
No, not from jail!
Several months ago I posted a thread about problems I was having with my right shoulder.
Loss of "range of movement" and pain.
I received many replies suggesting I go to an orthopedic surgen and perhaps some physical therapy would be in order.
Well being stubborn...
Yesterday our own "Sandy" met me for a casual round of golf.
It's always a pleasure to get out on the course with him.
I booked a tee time at one of our local courses which was having one of their 'customer appreciation days'.
Shotgun start, but play any type of game you wish.
And for $22.00...
Here's a switch.
I would imagine that most players upgrade their equipment.
I have an Odyssey 2-ball srt putter.
To say that I struggle with it would be a gross understatement!
I just can't seem to line it up.
And it being a fairly heavy club, I generally either hit the ball...
Sandy has played with our little group twice now.
He's great to have on board!
But he has to do all the driving to come down this way.
I swear, at the rate he's going he'll have more miles on his Saab than I have on my Peterbilt!!!
Anyway last week I totally fell apart on the course.
I know this is well after the fact,
and if this has already been covered,
I must have missed it.
I was wondering if any of us had been in Don Donatellos' situation,
would you have given up that $5,000.00 to ensure your position in the final four,
or would you have tried to play your way...
I had the pleasure of meeting and playing a round of golf with Sandy yesterday.
And I mean it was a real pleasure!
Super nice guy.
We played at Cream Ridge Golf Club in Cream Ridge, NJ.
The weather was perfect.
The course was in very good shape.
Sandy shot very well.
As usual I played like...
I can honestly say that I've never bought any product that I've seen on a tv infomercial.
But 2 clubs I find intresting.
The Bobby Jones hybrids,
and the F2 wedges.
Are they for real,
or just "snake oil"??
Do the spokespersons for these products actually believe these clubs are good, or just...
Finally went to see a Doctor this past Tuesday for my shoulder.
First time seeing him.
When he walked into the exam room I told him I needed a cure for my slice.
Kinda broke the ice, sorta speak.
After explaining all the problems I've been having with my right shoulder, I told him...
I didn't see a thread about this, unless I'm blind, so I figured I'd start one.
What the Hell is up with Pam quitting the competition???
Is she nuts???
Just because she can't "play well" with others???
You've got to be kidding!
She was runner-up on BBIII, right?
Which would tell me she had as...
Here's the deal...
As you know I just started playing last year.
About midway through the season I noticed I was starting to have some problems with my right shoulder.
If I reach back and stretch with my arms bent at the elbows,
I get a sheering pain in my right shoulder.
I also have...
It's the "Rookie" again,
looking for more free instruction.
When watching the Pros' on TV,
sometimes I notice that their hand position is ahead, (forward?), of the ball.
I was wondering if there is a 'Rule of Thumb' when to do this?
What clubs/shots would you want this particular hand...
When I went to the golf show, I received a coupon for a "free" golf club.
Now I'm not so naive as to believe that there are actually any "free lunches" in todays world,
but I gave them a call anyway.
$21.95 for my new 52* gap wedge.
what the hell.....
We'll see what they...
Well folks, after reading and re-reading all the replies I received from my
"Need Advice..." thread, I finally got to go to 'Dicks' and spend a little $$$.
I couldn't get the exact degree clubs that you all so graciously advised, but I got pretty close.
After hitting the Cobra Baffler-DWS...
Being that this was my first golf show I really didn't know what to expect.
I was quite disappointed.
I had hoped that the big golf companies would be represented there.
Callaway, Nike, Cobra, Taylor Made, etc....
Just independent retailers.
No more than an exaggerated golf flea market...
I'm thinking of replacing my #3 & #5 woods,
and my #3 iron/wood as they belong to a starter set of Rams
and now I have Cobras.
(M-speed driver, #3-pw irons.)
Along with an Odyessy puter and Orbitor sw.
I'm not sure what I'm about to ask will make any sense,
but I'll try.
With only 1 season...
As we all know when one has an addiction the first step towards recovery is to admit you have a problem.
Well I finally decided to face my addiction.
Earlier this morning I found myself sitting in a room full of others who share my problem.
At the beginning of the meeting everyone took their...
