LyleG, Thanks for the support! What kind of player is suited the Diamana Blueboard 83 g4" t stiff shaft? Is there an issue with the tip diameter of my SQ Tour and the Sumo drivers? Thanks, Scott

    Sumo Driver Help...

I was a mold maker/machinist for quite a few years. The guys I apprenticed with, mostly old Germans, taught me to buy the best tools for the job. Not once did they mentioned that the tool needed to look good or look better than another tool that did the same job. This metaphor doesn't work all...

    Sumo Driver Help...

R35, Love fest for Nike? No, not at all. It just happens that I when I bought my clubs, I hit the Nike products really well and liked the feel. My next set of irons will be whatever irons I happen to hit and like the feel of the best. Remember, I look at clubs as tools. However, I do find it...

    Sumo Driver Help...

R35, I make my own decisions. But I like to make informed decisions which is why I asked for opinions. Where did I say that I did not care about the opinions regarding the questions that I asked? I pointed out that aesthetics made no difference to me and get told that is a "stupid thing to...

    Sumo Driver Help...

R35, Where in my first post did I mention anything about aesthetics? Read it again and let me know. The point of my first post was that I felt that I was not ready for playability that the SQ Tour driver offered and that the higher MOI clubs likes the Sumo or Sumo2 might be better suited to my...

    Sumo Driver Help...

Andy, Really, I don't pay attention to the club. The last time I look at the club is when I am making sure the face is square with the target. Clubs are tools. Why does the club have to be pleasing to the eye? Saying that it has to be pleasing to the eye is real stupid thing to say. Does a...

    Sumo Driver Help...

Andy, I don't know about you, but I look at the ball, not the club. I don't care what the club looks like as long as it gets the job done. If the Sumo2 gets the job done the best, that's what I will get. Scott

    Sumo Driver Help...

Folks, I am thinking about getting one of the Sumo drivers. The SQ Tour (10.5º) that I have now may offer more shot making capabilities than I am prepared to handle. I think I could use the extra MOI offered by the Sumo drivers. I got the SQ Tour with a the Diamana Blueboard 83 g4" t stiff...

    Anger/Frustration/Temperment

Before I got into golf, I was a serious, tournament level, Skeet shooter. At the level I shot at, missing one target took you out of contention. The best Skeet shooter to ever live is a gentleman named Wayne Mayes. He saw a very good shooter miss a target and get all pissed off that he had...

Why not use a True Temper Dynamic Gold 300 in R or S? I love the TT DGS300 in my Baffler Pro.... Scott

    Southern Cal Golf Communities

Folks, I live in Northern CA now and my wife wants to move closer to her parents in SoCal. I thought it might be nice to move into a golf community with a private or semi-private club. Anything from the Pasadena area south to San Diego would be considered. Or should I look at joining a club...

    Ho, Ho, Ho, FT-i............

dave, I don't know about the Callaway FT-i. But, the Nike Sasquatch Sumo 2 has a 14 percent higher MOI than the Nike Sasquatch Sumo. Considering the Sumo has a higher MOI than the current Sasquatch 460, that means the Sumo 2 is going to be significantly more forgiving to off center hits...

    Review of X-20 Tours

dave, Okay, you have me confused.... Was this a review of the cast X-20 Tour irons or the forged X-Forged irons? The subject of this post says one thing then in your last post your say another.... The X-Forged have a thin top line! Scott

    Baffler or Nickent Hybrid

I have a Baffler Pro, with a True Temper DGS300 shaft, to take the place of a 2 iron. I like it a lot and it is not a hook machine. In fact, I have to do a good job of releasing correctly to make sure it don't get a strong fade. The Nike Slingshot Hybrid that I had was a hook machine. In...

    iron out my irons

slicerdude, If you can't hit the Nike's you have, you won't be able to hit the Adams'. If you were playing blades or other irons suited for better players, you would have a reason to blame the irons. But, with the Nike Slingshot irons, you are using quality game improvement irons now...
