Top that!

I am saddened by the loss of my precious Dunlop driver, The TM 580xd I am using as a substitute is not nearly as long and it has a built in power fade.

I lost alot of balls to the power fade.

I was hitting my wedge real nice but I followed up with marginal putting, thus the shabby score.

My case of Clevelandum Launcheritis is getting worse....I spotted my next driver in the pro shop...a 460 (non comp) with a 65S Graffaloy pro launch shaft....<drool>.

$279.....It's gonna be mine next week.

My irons were not too bad, I feel like if I can get the driver out of the woods and maintain the short game I had today, I'll be alright in the end.

Ever hopeful. :)

Sling, what loft of Launcher are you looking at? I have a 10.5 that I hit way too high that I'm seriously looking at turfing. I'd sell it to you for a lot less than that. It has a Graf Blue Stiff in it right now.

Ah, too bad, I'd rather sell it to someone I know that needs it than try to ebay it or something

Except at 10.5 loft you'll be killing crows and seagulls all day :)

True, but i'm wondering if more loft will help with more carry and better control.

I'd prefer a 9.5, to be honest....

I play 9.5 and find that I get more distance with the higher loft because of the carry (I used to play an 8.5). Maybe when I'm 50 I'll switch to 10.5 LOL

I hit an 8.5 GBBII right now and bring rain with it. But, i've never tried a club with the higher loft set up with a stiffer shaft like the Blue. More often than not, the higher lofted clubs are set up for slower swing speeds and have shafts that reflect that.

It's not often you see 10*+ heads with stiff or extra stiff shafts in them from the factory, and if if they are aftermarket, where am I gonna try that out?...lol.

I like the profile of the GBBII. Clean round look... you don't wanna go 460cc. Buddy of mine has the Launcher 460 with Blue S for sale. He's gone back to his 975 with UST proforce shaft.

If I were you and wanted to lower the traj, I'd get rid of the stock shaft (am assuming that's what's in the GBBII) and throw a low kicker in there, maybe an NV or a Blue. I've thought about reshafting on numerous occaisons (mostly for the same reasons... and also, hey if there is better out there than why not??) but I'm having a steamy affair with my 580XD with stock MAS2 shaft... at the moment.

I can find out what my pal wants for the Launcher if you are really into it? I'd say prob 200 or so USD

The clubs I've demoed were mostly 10.5 and all were available with stiff shafts. The 10.5 Cobra and Mizuno with NV stiff hit about the same or even a little lower than my 9.5 TM360 with the factory stiff.

I have the Grafalloy Blue Stiff in my driver. Had it frequency matched to my swing, works great. The harder you swing the straighter it goes.

It's just the 460 offers more consistent shots, or one would think. The fact that so many people have them for sale is somewhat puzzling. You'd think these things would be the holy grail, but in fact they are just the "next best thing".

I'm happy with the GBBII. But, once a ho, always a ho. If I could get a Launcher for cheap, i'd give it a go, but honestly, I don't plan on making any huge investments into my tee game, as I'm averaging near 290+ off the tee and 12 of 14 fairways. Pretty hard to improve on that.

Now, does the Launcher help with putting? I'll pay 1000 bucks if it one putts every green.

Did the GBBII come standard with the Blue? If so that's a nice combo. Sharp looking too (as you know 80% of the hoing is loving the look).

I can't help you with your putting. I have given up giving you crap about the 2-ball. Try a nice blade - the Never Compromise milled are new and nice, good heavy weight which is tough to find. I chopped a few inches and added some lead tape to my old Anser and it has treated me fairly so far.
