We had a 15 year old kid have 2 hole in ones in the same round.
The first from 115 and the second 185.
No wonder I can't get one, these kids are using them all up.:)

Guys who hit hole in ones are like guys who have two Harley's.

A lawyer in Seattle recently did the same. I think he shot something like 105 or so.

I think the article said the odds of someone of that handicap doing that was somehwere in the neighbourhood of 1:13,000,000 or something crazy like that. I think it said that you have better chances of winning the lottery.

I bet he would have rather won the lottery.

    Two in one round? Crazytown.

I have two in my career, and I started playing 23 years ago...

They were talking about this on Cold Pizza on ESPN2 this morning, they said the odds of this happening were 16 million to one...how they figure that I have no idea.

I've never come what I consider close. Oh, I have hit my share of shots stiff to the pin, say less than 2 feet, but never in a way that I thought for a second it was going in. Strangely, the only HIO I have witnessed was a pretty ugly shot. On a fairly short par 3 an older guy hit an ugly low slicing 5 wood that hit the fairway bounced a couple of times and rolled into the hole. It was kind of funny because it was actually the group behind us and, IIRC, it was somebody we knew, like a teacher or administrator at our high school.

The closest I've come was a 140 yard eagle on a par 4. I've seen two HIO. My brother (a pretty good golfer) hit one. The other done by a guy who was playing his second round of golf. Talk about beginner's luck.

I sunk one on the practice range last year. No one saw it and it doesn't count anyway. :(

    Punk kid. :p

I have been playing for like 7 years, not one hole in one, and I am a 4 handicap, and my brother, who never plays, got one. He is like how the girls always win the office pools for the final four. It just really pisses me off.

Yah, but you should be thinking about the course instead of picking fights with your playing partners.

    :D
