So, I normally do not watch LPGA golf, but it was on early this morning and derided to watch the end the Ladies Open Championship. The lady who won, Sophia Popov,; has no tour status, only got in the qualifier due to Covid keeping folks out of it, was caddying on the LPGA Tour just a few weeks ago, and came out of no where to win the Championship.
Love to see these "rags to riches" stories!!!! Sorta like the 1991 PGA Championship and John Daly. Ninth and final alternate. When he got the call he drove all night to make his tee time. Never played the course... Crooked Stick... not even a practice round. Won the major by three strokes.
It does happen in real life and this lady from caddie to winning an LPGA Major is proof!!!
