That was the Pat’s home stadium for a bit early in the franchise history. Not the best football venue, but it worked until they built the stadium in Foxboro.
Remember reading an article in Sports Illustrated some years ago about the great Baltimore Colts team, lead by Unitas. The players could not make a living playing football. Unitas and some of his teammates worked construction during the week. They did remodeling and home building. Some of that time, they did work for their landlord as a tradeoff for rent.
