Gotta hand it to Cam Smith. That tee-shot on 17th was extraordinary. I'm not sure he meant it, but it was ballsy! It wrapped up the tournament. Paul Casey got a kick in the gonads on 16th. After a perfect drive! I've never seen that before. An excellent TPC climax, especially a Monday evening finish! Roll on Augusta.

Yeah that finish was awesome! Although Paul Casey might disagree 😁

That is a dumb rule that should be changed. You should never be penalized for hitting a perfect drive.

What about the Keegan Bradley penalty? That was ridiculous.

Didn't he hit the wrong ball or something?

edit: I looked it up:
he marked his ball on the 16th green at TPC Sawgrass, the ball moved and Bradley played it from where he had marked it, rather than where the ball moved to.
Oof.

Just found out that one of my favorite local clubs (Pumpkin Ridge) is hosting one of the Greg Norman/Saudi tournaments. They are shutting the course down for 8 days and raising their membership fees. This is super depressing news to me. 😢

I know the members are pissed. My club president said he thinks it was more of the ownership group Escalante than Pumpkin Ridge that made this decision.

Norman says the Saudis are holding 22 tourneys in the U.S. this year. They are still trying to recruit players from the PGA. Maybe they will only get players from the Korn Ferry Tour... and only a handful of them.

That would be hilarious if they only got like 8 Korn Ferry players to show up
