Caught a little of "Live from The Masters" on TGC this morning. Commentators saying LIV players will be at a disadvantage because they are no used to starting on #1 tee and working into the round. I guess the LIV events must be "shotgun start" where players spread out over the course. Interesting comments.

And only 54 holes with no cut. They've all played this format before so I don't really see how they'd be at a disadvantage other than they just haven't really given a shit about their game for the past year.

Well, the first 20 minutes of network coverage was ALL Woods. Thank goodness he only had a couple holes left to play. Otherwise, would imagine they would only follow his group and just give snapshots of other groups.

The greens are soft and receptive. In some cases, perhaps too much so. Have seen a couple putts that should have gone in turn an inch from the hole, indicated some coning from traffic.
Weather for the next three days is not promising. The leaders after today may have a completely different course to play the next few days... or early next week.

Most of them are pressing a bit knowing today is probably the lone good weather day. It’s going to be a lot more difficult starting tomorrow as rain and cooler temperatures prevail.

Of course, I remember when the dude who was not invited to attend this year tore up the course for 3 days and had a 6 stroke lead Sunday morning and was still able to claw defeat out of the jaws of victory which allowed Sir Nick to be the one placing the first Green Jacket on Tiger the following year.
