I find the Bi Matrx shaft in my 3 wood to be a little heavy so I want put something just a little lighter in there. I understand the Aldila NVs are pretty good but at almost $90 are they worth the money? What is it that makes them good? Grafalloy Blues are a little cheaper but I haven't really heard much about them in the fairway woods department. Other than making really good and expensive shafts I don't know anything about Fujikura.

I don't really know how the quality shafts nowadays compare as the only shaft I've ever played in my woods are Gralloy ProLites, and it's a little difficult to demo different shafts. Can someone recommend me something to get me started?

Proforce 65 shafts always worked perfectly for me in FW woods. Pretty affordable too.

The ProLites are good shafts. Anything I've hit fitted with them was great.

I've never hit a Blue fairway.

Graphite Designs makes good fairway wood shafts too.

I've decided to put a Grafalloy Blue in it, I'll get it back on Monday. :)
