35 putts...

Today's round was so typical.

I just stink as a putter. I had 17 2-putts and 1 one-putt.

I hit six fairways with my driver. Shockingly I parred them all.

Hit 8 GIR and parred them all.

Does this game have anything to do with Driving, chipping and putting? Seems to be about 75% of it.

The rest of the round was really stinko. I just kind of schlop it around...Scummy McJohnson...

My violations of The Swing Plane are so egregious it is amazing I can hit it anywhere.

Oh well - another Vodka fueled discourse in futility.

OK...I had an 85. Coming clean here.

I had 3 doubles and one birdie.

I gotta say the 3 doubles were the result of bad club selections...after 40 years of playing golf.

I just feel stupid sometimes.

Sounds like you kept it together reasonably well, considering.

This is a funny, funny game. I love grabbing a PW from 125 when you know can get it to 125 if you lean on it, only to fly the green.

You stand, alone, in the fairway, looking at the divot....the ball....the clubface....and then shaking your head.

This is usually followed by a duffed chip, as you are still so awestuck at how the hell the proceeding even just happened.

Then, sitting at the 19th hole....."WTF?"

That usually happens when you relax knowing the shot is easy. If you could relax and hit the shot with confidence everytime you would drop 10 strokes in a week. Of course less than 1% of us can do that so we all continue to be right there with you. I hit a 4 iron form 210 out thinking I might get it to roll onto the green, I flew the green and it went 40 yards down the inbankment, I couldn't see the green from where I was. All you can do is smile and hope to get on the dance floor with your next shot.
