Well, here we go again, i just had to do it, took a peak at the golfdiscount site and saw what i did and didn't want to see, special offer for Cleveland TA1's for 349 bucks, im set to demo a set at my local range this week. I recently decided to keep my supersteels, but this deal is too good to pass up, providing of course the fact that i hit them good at the range, i guess i'll admit it, im a club junkie add me to the list, these ones for sale are 2 degrees upright, can someone explain this to me, do you think that if i get these the range will custom fit them for me, since theyre forged they could alter the specs couldn't they

I have the TA1 and yes they're sweet, and I love them.
Forged clubs are easier to change lie because the metals are softer. While any cast clubs are more prone to break. So custom fitting certainly won't be a problem.
I bought those clubs for 600$ Canadian this year, since Cleveland don't produce them anymore. The only musclebacks replacement in view is the CG1.

hey loop, what do you think of the TA1 long irons, i've heard that long iron blades are easier to hit than one would think

I don't pure my long irons (3 and 4) as often as my mid ones, but they're not that difficult to hit. Which sometimes makes me play a 7 wood on a dangerous 200 yard par 3 instead of using a 3-iron when I'm not confident (I'm no power hitter). But the main advantage with my 3-Iron is that it's straight, precise and the distance predictable.

One thing I noticed is that I've really grown accustomed to the TA1. The other day, I tried other cavity backs like the X16, and the T200 from TM, and find the clubhead way too big, less manoeuvrable, less dynamic. Also, the mis-hits and shanks I make on my long irons blades are the same with the CB, but the CB are more forgiving on the distance loss.

yeah i have a 7 right now, and use it instead of my supersteel 3 iron, but if the blades i just smash, i might consider leaving the 3 iron in the bag and either take out the 7 or loose a wedge

It's strange about long irons. I played 7 wood when I had the super-game-improvers in the bag cause I could NOT hit the 3 iron. Now that the Armours (which are supposedly more of a player's club-- thinner topline, thinner sole, shallower cavity) are in the bag, I'm banging mostly 220 yrd draws. Maybe when I get to hit these M-14s, I'll be hitting 250 yrs 3 irons and leave the 5 wood at home. LOL
