OK... and you techie-deficients out there who want to play on the web...
Microsoft has a new web-host platform out there for html-web-challenged individuals who want a web presence. It is marketed mainly for businesses who want on the web but don't want to pay $$$ for a programmer (bad for web developers like me). It is kind of a template-based system with little ability to customize too much. Just choose a template and fill in your details. It's called Office Live.
Now, the freebie stuff.
If you sign up as a beta tester, they will give you access to their basic edition free of charge. The cool thing is that the free access continues indefinitely. They will register any domain name you want for free, host the site for free, leave it up from now on, and you'll never be charged (even after the beta testing is done).
The basic edition is kind of plain-Jane IMHO, but, hey, it's free. I signed up to get an idea what it's about, and set a site up about WW2 combatives. It's up and running at http://all-in-den.org. It should give you an idea what's available with the basic edition.
