Ok, let's get right to it. I shot 56 on the front nine in today's comp.

Bloody aweful! I wanted to leave and take the next 2 weeks off! I had been working on straightening out my driver on the range by rollling my wrists sooner and while it worked ok on the range it was a fecking disaster on the course which migrated to the rest of my game.

I hit zero fairways and zero GIR.

Ok, I get to 10 and my mind goes blank. No practice swing, no waggle, just grip it and rip it. Boom, boom, boom, boom! 5 fairways and 6 GIR on the back plus a second place finish in a closest to the pin comp on 14 with 12' 6".

Finished the back with a 42....14 fecking strokes!

Now I'll have to go back next week and try to do better.

(what a stupid game.)

I'm no pro, but make a very conscious note in your mind of exactly how your wrists feel at address. Then, when you're taking two or three practice swings, make a note of how far your wrists turn when you're making a comfortable backswing. With some range practice, it should start to feel like second nature how to rotate your wrists.
Also, if I concentrate on having my arms straight out by the time I'm hitting the ball, I tend to tatoo 'em. Give it a try :p. Like I said though, I'm no pro. That's just what works for me. Good luck!

When you practice you tend to be more relaxed making it easier to hinge your wrists at the correct time.

During a round you will be a little more tense so you will have a harder time. As you get more comfortable that will be much less of a problem.

I'll tell you what OB.....you are so right.

On the back, at address, I could FEEL the tension in my arms, wrists and hands......I had nothing to lose so I relaxed my grip and everything else seemed to follow suit.

I stood there long enough to get the relaxed feel and BOOM!
I ripped them right into the middle of the faiway.

Why are the simplest concepts the one's we forget the fastest?

You mean like working on your putting instead of focusing on the driver? ;)
