And have an opinion?

I've seen them in the shop, they look nice, but I forked out for a new shaft on mine this year. I have the 983K with a Fuji.

I would be interested in hitting one, just for the craic, but I'm fairly happy and can't see the move making a huge difference. The shape, size, technology all seems similar.

One observation though. This is the first time I have not seen Titliest drivers pushed outside their stock shaft. Seems that they are pushing the Graffalloy Blub and the Green NV as the standards. Interesting...

Yep,I thought that too.

Sand Trap have some mixed reviews of the 905,although thats not saying much.I think the 983 is a relatively difficult club to hit, particulalry if you are used to a monster head like aG2 or Cally,so I take their opinions with a pinch of salt.

I cant speak on the 983 but i have the 905T and love it. Mine has the NV shaft with stiff flex. I dont think it is the longest dirver i hit but the ball flight and feel are just what i was looking for. If you are thinking about it i say go for it.

If anyone here was even thinking about going from a 983 up to the 905 dont bother. Many pro's on tour are still hitting the 983's. You might gain 3-5 yards going to a 905 series but honestly is 4 yards worth $300?? I had a 975J-VS and bought my 905T nad have never looked back but my JVS was 2-3 years old already. I have the Graphite Design YS-6 stiff and love it, tho I would probably like the grafalloy blue as well. Besides I saw a few of the higher up Tour players are using the new Titleist demo which will outdate the 905. I expect that this spring so you should just wait! You know darn well if Nike, Mizuno, PIng, Cobra and everyone else makes 460cc then Titleist will as well. Just wait for that and drive it past all the people with 905's! :D

Titleist has already said that they wont be making a 460cc driver anytime soon. And let them hit it past me, i'll be in the middle while they will be looking for the ball in the woods.

i have both drivers. i really didn't see any difference in distance but there is a big difference in workability. i have a terrible time trying to cut the ball with the 905. i guess that is to be expected with the larger headed drivers because they are more forgiving.

I like the smaller head of the 983,I will never buy a 460,particularly a Titleist 460.Thats sacrilege.

Well I dunno what the demo the tour players are using is but I know its bigger than a 905T Im sure. Why else would they make anything different than the 905 thats smaller? They may not get up to 460cc but they will get closer as time goes on. You can still make the face taller and keep a smaller look. Just like the 905S, standing at address it hardly looks bigger than a 983 because its similar from face to the backside but has a taller face and is more forgiving. *shrug* To each his own. The big thing is you have to be shafted properly or neither club will work right for you and you wont be able to work it around. I can hit anything from a hook to a high slice with my 905. But I went through 5-6 driver shafts before I found one that I liked and would let me move the ball around.
