Bending Drivers

I was reading an article in Golf World about the pros bending their drivers so they are open, or at least look open. My Cleveland drivers face looks shut and I don't like that look (but hit it reasonably well). My misses are occasional hooks and tugs.

I was always under the impression that bending a wood, would probably crack the head. Thoughts? Should I (get someone to) do this or am I going to end up with a broken club?

Thanks, as always.

I put the whole article up in here last week. I understand they break alot of heads bending them. Pros don't pay for them so don't care. I would be very careful.... :)

Thanks. That was my suspicion. I think I will just for Hi-Bore XL Tour. They are supposed to be flatter and more open. Will keep the regular driver for my home course (which has 9 doglegs that are helped by a hook).

Thanks again.
