Blacking out a non blackout Ping grip

Hi Guys,
I like the blackout version of the Ping putter grip but the white letter version is easily available locally. Anyone have any good suggestions on blacking these out?

Sharpie? Paint marker? Maybe sand the white off?

Sharpie probably will work best. U may be able to sand it off but what a PITA.

Tar. Makes the grip stickier as well.

You could use rubberized undercoat in the spray can. Just tape off the rest of the grip and spray it evenly.

Agree. I would go the sharpie route, much more than that and I'm out.

Just a suggestion. Personally if the blackout version was what I wanted I wouldn't buy the white lettered version. I'd have them order the one I wanted or get it off the bay and have it put on.

Many places don't carry the blackout. I couldn't find one locally either I would have to wait. Sometimes I don't have the patience either!
