Loop, this one is mainly for you, how do you go about caring for your TA1's or anyone with anything special they do for their clubs would be great.

Thanks

Hello YG

TA1s are forged right? My clubs are forged and I don't do anything special other than clean them after a round with some hot water and a towel, BUT I do make sure that there is no water or moisture left on the clubhead as apparently forged are prone to rusting.

Hope this helps!

YoungGun, I'm not much of a care freak, so I don't clean the club immediately after the shot. Of course, for very good players like you, its a must to clean it after each shot to get the most out of the grooves. I do however clean the club after each round.
Second, it's good to have a rack on your bag to avoid the clinging of the clubheads.
And last, don't put neoprene covers on the clubheads, because in humid temperature, some rust will appear very quickly (48 hours....). Best to leave them in open air.

Other than that, make sure they shine for show and tell :D

Its just that I had bad experience with those covers after a rainy day. I saw the rust coming in just a day. Those covers were humid, but it kept the humidity inside, so the clubheads rusted a bit.

Here's what rack looks like

well, that rack won't work in my bag, because of the sections, i think i'll try to invent my own, Question, how does everyone arrange the clubs in your bag,

i have a stand bag, and from the stand back, i used to have woods, then irons, then wedges and putter, but now in an effort to minimize club damage i switched the wedges and woods around,

how does everyone else organize theirs??? preferrably from the front of the bag to the back, any ideas besides the rack or neoprene covers to prevent club damage would be great

FWIW, I keep my wedges and putter in the front...woods in the back.

My fiance doesn't like wood in the back side though.

Callaway Day Tripper Full. They have two versions, one's a light version (less pockets).

The Callaway bags (and others) use the Woode colub management system. It has 5 slots for woods on the left side (see pic) and three compartments for up to 5 irons each. The wood area has separators to the bottom. There's also a place for the putter to keep it from banging around with the irons.

Awesome bag. Wouldn't buy anything else. I've had it for two years, at least 100 rounds, looks brand new.

There's lots of room for everything. The ball pocket has a removable outer flap that allows you to have custom embroidery done on it. Nice little feature.

I just recently bought a new Wilson bag that has 14 separate dividers for every club in the bag, and they're diamond shaped compartments so the clubs don't move around when your carting them because they sit nicely in the corners. Stops all the clubs dinging together...

alright, now when you used the neoprene covers that was in the rain, do you think they would accumulate moisture on just a regular day, and if moisture does accumulate would using WD-40 be a good idea to prevent rust,

It would be a safe bet to let the neoprene dry out if they were exposed on a rainy day.
Other than that, on any regular day, I don't think moisture would accumulate in it, unless you store the clubs in a humid environment.
I don't know about the wd40 though, since I'm trying to rust my wedges. :p
