Mass is measured in Kilograms. The driver has many more grams than the ball. if the driver weighed what the ball does, and the ball was big and heavy like the driver, you you would have to hit the ball 1.5 times faster to get the ball to fly as fast as your swing speed is right now.

CORis interesting though, as if it adds more energy than you hit it with, but how is that possible? Think about it as accleration, feet/per second / per second. Letting the ball stay still briefly allows you to continue to acclerate, thus adding energy.

While the ball sits on the tee does it not have kinetic energy. Then when it reaches maximum VELOCITY has it not reached its potential energy?

How is hitting an object with essentially a titanium mallet not applying force to an object? The force applied is then added to by the characteristics of the ball and the trampoline effect of the face of the driver.
Energy cannot be created.

There cannot be more energy contained by the ball than was contained by the club at impact. Physically impossible.

no. Kenetic energy is when its traveling way the hell up in the air but not falling yet. Potential? Well it potentially might fall in the hole.

My balls have a lot of reality energy.

You have them backwards, on the tee the ball only has potential NRG. Once at maximum velocity, max kinetic NRG is reached.
I thought on the tee it had the potential energy to fall on the ground. not much.

where would its potential come from? potential has to be measured against a zero.

Does it have the potential for me to hit it into the sun?
