I got XM satellite radio last month and love it!! Boatloads of music channels, plus weather, news and sports. I have about 8-9 music channels programmed into my little receiver and will never go back to traditional radio again. The sound quality is superb and the only time you cannot receive the signal is when you are in a deep parking garage or a tunnel...
XM has gotten approval from the Canadian government to put this into Canadian airspace...

My guess is that they will take the music channels and add some Canadian-only news/weather/talk programming in place of the American stuff. If they do, you will love it...I would be flabbergasted if they did not have Every NHL game on the radio - for example.
Here are the channels currently available in the U.S.

One of them is 24/7 hockey talk...
Oh yeah this is expensive...a Roady 2 radio now costs $30USD. Yes...thats "thirty dollars". And the service is $13/month...
Its the best little toy I have ever bought. Wife loves it, daughter etc. On any long drive it is a delight...listen to news and sports for awhile and switch to music...
The Roady 2 and its successor will soon have portable battery packs so you can take this little sucker with you while hiking or watching a ballgame outdoors - or even icefishing!! :canadafla
