Can you believe this??

Dutch kids are taught that Santa lives in Spain, has a helper called "Black Pete" and travels by boat!

wtf?

We should start a campaign to tell Dutch kids the truth!

A very good question! The Dutch are barmy! Let's face it, this is a nation that, instead of simply moving inland, decided to try and reclaim the North Sea. Sanity is an issue with these people, must be the drugs!

Here you go! And if you click the "Traditions" link, you find out all sorts of weird things!

For example the Italians don't get their presents from Santa on Christmas Day. Oh no. They get them on Jan 6th from a kind, but ugly, witch on a broomstick.

And they eat eels on Christmas Eve.

Cool site, but Holland? Forget Holland.

...In Czech Republic, St. Nicholas is called Svaty Mikalas and is believed to climb to earth down from heaven on a golden rope along with his companions: an angel and a whip-carrying devil...Czechs eat a soup made of cod roe and tempt each other with tales of a mythical golden pig.

Kids must shit themselves with all this stuff and the parents must be whacked out on cocaine and vodka!

LOL

Why Irish kids get all the really cool toys.

In Ireland, candles are lit in the windows to guide Joseph and Mary along the way. Ireland also celebrates the 12 days of Christmas, with their holidays beginning on Christmas Eve and continuing until Jan. 6. Dec. 26, St. Stephen’s day, is often the day of football (soccer) matches. Irish children also put up sacks instead of stockings and leave a pint of Guiness and other snacks for Santa Claus.
