This is my second course it is the best course in the area where 2 challenge tour events where held last year that Darren Clarke, Graham Mcdowell and challenge tour pros played in. The course is 6700 yards form the tips but playes longer I think. And a beautilful layout the greens are immacualte and very fast. Sorry that I couldn't get my own photos of the course but since none of you would now the addy, so I will post some of the site.

The 6th hole it is a long par 5 and it takes to mighty hits to get up you need to hit a smahed drive to carry the ditch at about 280 yards, the green is well covered by bunkers but quite open.

This is a few about 180 out of the 9th green once again this is a tricky par 4 with a bunker on the left of the fairway to catche left drives and you have little chance of getting to the green form it.

My favourite hole a 16o yard par 3 where you need to be accurate it is a good hole.

Another par 3 this one now has a huuge lake just short of the green making sure you take enough and the green is tough. IG you want to play this course instead of Bangor it is awesome.

Looks cool, I actually played this course before, many years ago. Senior Cup qualifying representing Queens University. I got a call in the pub on the Saturday night, asking did I want to play at 7.50am the next morning. So after a few more beers I headed home, polished my clubs and got a few hours rest, before driving down the next morning. I had never been there before and it took me a while to find it. I had to run to the 1st tee to make my tee off time and ending up shooting a splendid 88 (or similar)! I was going OK until about the 5th? It is a strange short par 4, and I ended up with something like an 11.

My only redeeming memory of the place was almost acing one of the par 3s on the back nine, in front of a crowd. The birdie got me back to +19 over!! Needless to say QUB did not qualify for Senior Cup.

Yeah it has changes DRAMATICALLY over the past 3 years relaid the greens changed holes added lakes made it lnoger, it really is a good course, and plays well throughout the year with a good drainage system, the hole you are talking about is deadly you run out of fairway at about 250 yrds so you have to hit a iron of the tee, and if you run out of fairway you are gone, the approach is blind and there is a big wall behind the green which have ended up against loads of times. There are some great holes. My lowest ronud around the dufferin course is 73 +2 and around the ava the par 69 6100 yards it is 69. We can play this course if it isn't busy, also they have carts so we can get a cart. Yeah we missed senior cup qualifying by 1 this year. But junior cup here we come.

Is this the hole you are talking about?

I'm getting cold sweats just looking at it. Imaging playing Senior Cup on a hole like this with no practice round!!! I figure I hit about 3 drivers off the tee before figuring out that it was an iron.

But it was good fun counting it up...

I would like to play Bangor. I'm travelling quite a bit this month, so may have to wait until March. I'll call you, until then keep practising.

Sounds good Bangor would be good in March the course is great at the minute with this dry spell of weather maybe the BEST it has ever been, but we are still playing winter tees until mid-march so it would be nice to play form the tips. So Bangor will do green fees on me of course.

Yeah that hole is about a 3 iron 7 iron it is index 2 or soemthing a great hole, but a SCARY tee shot, I have made a couple of higher numbers before on that hole.

I'm not practiceing at the minute unfortunetely just don't have much time to go tothe range to much coursework but I will be ready for you.

My practice at the moment is the 1 minute before I tee it up on the 1st every Sunday. I gotta wait until the clock goes before I will be able to hit any balls. Still my run of birdie, eagle, birdie ( and it was only 1" from being 2 eagles!!) last Sunday shows some things are still working OK.

Yeah similar to myself a couple minutes swinging before I tee off. I played on saturday and it was really warm for this time of year. So hopefully we will get a better day than we did last year at port stewart I still enjoy it even though i got beat.

But you had to be crappnig yourself after the first couple, when i wnet a couple up and the 18th second shot with that wedge was terrible.

But you had a great comeback. :germanyfl
