I am nearing the budget for the clubs I want, so i am considring building my own putter. I am thinking about one of these different heads:

Or this head, which is the cheapest http://stores.yahoo.com/dynacraftgolf/designputters.html
then whichever shaft and a lamkin grip. Anyone ever made their own putter before? know of any sites that would tell me the tools/materials other than head/shaft/grip that I would need?
thanks :)

Putter?

You'll probably need to trim the shaft so a tubing cutter would be handy.

I believe that both the golfsmith and dynacraft sites have online tutorials as well as clubmakers forums.

Minimum....grip tape, grip solvent, epoxy and a way to trim the shaft.

nice, I read the tutorial, simple enough. I have the tools, will just need to get some of the materials.

this is perfect, with the materials I need, I can build a decent putter for 22 bucks. Puts on budget with the rest of the stuff I want to buy
Tommy armour 845fs
Homemade putter
Tommy armour forged sand wedge
Ogio stand bag
total (without shipping) 250 bucks :)
