i have just got into playing this game. i was curious as to what kind of clubs i should buy starting off. actually ive played a few times and average around 105 to 110, with a severe slice. i was looking at some offset clubs. just not sure which way to go.

Buy the Tommy Armour 845s. I have recommended these clubs dozens of times and have never had a complaint. They are first rate quality clubs and are very affordable ($200). And you can sell them on ebay if you want to move on to other irons in the future.

Go get lessons for your slice. As a beginner - you have a great opportunity to learn the game properly from the beginning...Your scores are good for a beginner - so you have good potential.

Adams is also an excellent brand and you will have similar quality and resale value as with the Armours...

Try to hit the clubs on the range before you buy them. This is very important because you want to like the clubs and feel comfortable with them before you write the check...

And please remember the lessons.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Where do you live?

Not here but we did at GR. Several newbies bought them and reported back that they liked them...I think they are a great value for anyone who is just getting started.
