Hello guys—new to forum- been playing for years but recently got serious. I was at driving range with three different drivers and all give me 15-20 slice. I played with grip position, address of club face, left foot back , swing speed and all were about same. Have been working to eliminate outside in swing but doesn’t seem to help slice. Any thots appreciated!

So first of all, in my opinion, 15-20 yards is a fade, not a slice. When I started my ball would go 50 yards forward and 150 yards right.

If it's consistent and repeatable. My advise would be to just play it. Aim 15-20 yards left of your target and let it fade back onto target. I know that a fade isn't always the ideal shot shape...but an amateur that can consistently hit a 15 yard fade with their driver every shot is probably better off than 95% of amateurs.

If you REALLY want to fix it, it really is a case of figuring out how to get your swing path square to the target line and get your club face square to the swing path if you want to hit it straight. Period. Odds are, it's something fairly simple and a couple lessons could work it out.

I fought with my slice for a few years. I got to a decent point where I was hitting a fade...but fades aren't cool right? The draw is what gets the chicks. So I spent HOURS at driving ranges and on YouTube learning how to fix my slice. So I finally did it. I started hitting the ball straight. Then I had a very brief period of time where I hit these super beautiful baby draws. That was a glorious couple rounds. Then I started hooking the ball off the planet. Then I went back to slicing after trying to fix the hook. Then I went back to a fade....then I gave up on golf because life got too busy.

All that to say....get lessons if you really want to fix it quickly, fix it right, and fix it long term.

When I started golf 21-22 years ago, I fought a slice (as most do when starting). I used to read all kinds of stuff trying to fix the slice. I do remember what actually finally worked for me from one of the golf magazines (hard to forget what takes away your slice). Although it is also not the same reason for everyone. This worked for a ball starting out straight, then slicing off, when having already spent most of the time thinking it was from a "Over the Top" swing.

It was very simple, and was called "Catch the Raindrops". Did a search, I assume this was the guy that developed it, as it is the concept. May be worth a shot, it is simple enough to try on the range.

Within 6 months after that, and after a lot of rounds and range time, I had a pretty good draw.

Was it Seve that said ""I was a golf teacher, I was teaching a lady that was a slicer, I turned her into a hooker, I gave up teaching" lol

edit - It was Chi Chi, not Seve

I wouldn't be to upset with 15-20 yard fade if it is consistent. Tee off from the right side of the tee box, aim down the left side of the fairway to hit the fairway.

15-20 yard draws are much harder to find the fairway, and harder to control in my experience. So the extra distance is overrated if you can't keep it on the fairway.

Jack Nicklaus always tried to hit a fade. Thought it more controllable than a draw/hook. Wasn't it Trevino that said "You can talk to a fade, but a hook just won't listen!"
