Welcome to the board badpudder!

Generally, course discussion has taken place right here.

What has happened quite alot is that users have posted pictures of the coureses they have played in the gallery, linked to them and given a summery.

There are, however, no hard rules.....if it feels good....do it. :)

Good to hear.

If anyone wants to get into some talk about the Pinehurst, NC area let me know I visit this area frequently. I have a lot to offer but a lot to learn about this area.
Also anyone familiar with the Robert Trent jones golf trail in Alabama?

Bravo may, he's a right fine feller from Alabama.

got us another feller just the other day from Montgomery...so we shall see.

Myself.....I am mired in childcare so I don't get out as much as I'd like. :)

BadPudder, I'm the feller from Montgomery and I'm please to be called fine, even if it is by a couple of other guys.

I've played several of the RTJ courses, but never Silver Lakes. I've heard good things about it, though, and may get a chance to play it in May. I'd be interested in your comments. If it's like most of the RTJ course, expect some relatively fast greens and tricky pin placements.

There's another course in the area that has gotten good reviews as well. It's Twin Bridges, and it was rated No. 9 in the Best New Affordable Public Courses category by Golf Digest. If you get a chance, you might want to check it out. If by some chance you play both Silver Hills and Twin Bridges, I'd really be interested to know which you prefer.

BadPudder:

I am the undereducated redneck that Slingblade referred to.

And please be certain that all of us who are south of the Mason Dixon line are fellers.

Yassum - thats what we is. Fellers.

I live in Birmingham and have similar comments to the ones offered by BamaDuffer. I have played many of the RTJ courses but not Silver Lakes. But if the Golf Digest Ratings are any indication - you can't go wrong on any of them...I think both courses are a 4 out of 5 in that book.

Twin Bridges is also a course with a pretty good reputation that I have never played.

Sorry I could not help you out.

Come on back now ya heah?

I know, I know....you are jealous.

Up there in the late Winter sludge...

You are dreaming of playing golf - in about a month.

In the meantime - you see all of us Sunbelters down here playing and talking about our rounds.

Temps in the 60's. I am playing on Thursday and the forecast is sunny and the thermostat has it at a level 72*. (After the tornado comes through!!)

It's gonna be tough but somebody has to do it.

If you ever want to move down, I'll introduce you to all the other delighted yankees who live down here - (ahem...that's "heah".)
