Every April there is an outdoor festival to raise money for the local animal shelters. My little one just loves dogs and we went down and I snapped a few pix...

The first guy with the dog with the hat on, has a great sweatshirt - "Real Men don't need Instructions".

2nd photo - you should have seen this woman try to control this Great Dane! He was pulling her around like a dishrag after a Chihuahua came up and tried to chomp him on the ankle...

Nice dogs. Is that the same dog from Taco bell?

Sure looks like it...tiny little critter - just trembling.

Of course without any hair - maybe I would be a little chilly myself....

Your little one should shave his moustache. It would take years off. ;)

We're in the market for a dog pretty quick here. I've always been a fan of game dogs, like terriers, hounds and retrievers. Beagles are on the top of my list. The old lady likes poodles. She's partial to Beagles tho, which is great, but I might see some comprimise with a Jack Russel, maybe.

If we get a chihuahua, i'd eat it. BBQ sauce optional.

We're in the same boat. A pug was inevitable until the neighbor down the street got one...Threw our plans right out the window. We're going with a Boston now.

Don't get a Jack Russell unless you want another full time job. Those things can't calm down.

Yeah I went back and read the castration thread at DG--totally lame thread, in my opinion... I still have 4 or 5 names there (the names of the others are in a notebook in the garage), but I haven't even gone there to dg for so long because the whole site is now just one big cockfest... I like to sign up with funny names though once in a while...lol... Someone go tell Mike Weird/Lasagna that he can kiss my ass...

I digress-----------

Bravo--- Gorgeous dog photos!!! Thank you !!!

We don't have the room for a big dog. I really think it's unfair to pen up a dog that honestly needs the space. Medium sized pups fit the bill for us. No small purse/Paris Hilton type dogs. Up that.

My dad has two Goldens and a beagle right now. (Actually, from the amount of weight that the female is putting on, i'm thinking we might have 12 pretty soon....)

Pug aren't my thing. I grew up with a good friend that had one, she was the meanest bitch ever. I just can't get around that.

My younger brother had a Jack Russel. That thing was smarter than I was. That somewhat appeals to me, but also scares the shit outta me at the same time.

"Who peed on the floor?"
"It was the dog"
"The dog knows better. Now clean it up."
"This sucks."

I knew you were a dog lover and glad you liked them. There were thousands of dogs everywhere at this event...

Had to make sure I checked my shoes before we got in the car.

When I lived in San Antonio, my vet had a Jack Russell. Loved it so much he kept him at the office.

One sharp mofo.

Was surprised he didn't have the dog working the front desk, taking appointments and payments.
