Do you tip the head pro?

Had my first lesson with the head pro at my club. My question: do you tip him? I would tip any other pro, but doesn't he kinda own the store? Whattaya do?

Oh, BTW, my game will now suck for the next two weeks as I try to incorporate this newest tidbit. Apparently my hip tilt was insufficient; my ass needs to stick out to twice the distance of the biggest bubble butt you can find, while my nose bobs earthward. I feel like a damn chicken, and I will definitely need to find a chiropractor.

Got me more than 10 yds with my irons on a good hit, tho. More on a pure. Worth the inevitable stint in traction, I figure. ;)

Lemme know your thoughts about the tip, boys. Also, if you tip, how much? 20%?

Did you paid him for the lesson?
I wouldn't know, the only lessons I had years eons ago, I didn't paid any surplus or tip fee. Maybe things change?

Additional tipping for a service you already paid for? Hmmm.

I'd have an easier time giving my $0.78 to the Starbucks chick.

I tip wait staff because they are making $2.25 and hour and tips are an expected part of their income. Do I tip a pro because he makes $100 an hour, a percentage of shop sales, free golf at every course in town...?

Nah. Maybe I'm just socially inept. But... Nah.

Yeah, but can she straighten out your driver?

Seriously, thanks boys. I didn't tip him, but felt kinda strange about it. I don't think that the assistant pros get a cut of the shop sales, etc, and since you pay the club directly for their time, I would tip them if I thought they'd done a good job. I don't think they make that much scratch. But you've basically confirmed my thoughts about the head pro.

Anybody knows any differently, please chime on in.

If you're paying for a service, you don't tip. Conversely, if you are paying for service by tipping (like Buddha's waitress), then you obviously tip.

Do you tip your plumber for getting your drain unclogged?

Exactly.

You paid him $X to straighten out your drive. Period.

Shake the man's hand, and head to the range.

I think I've identified the issue here. Scott's used to tipping his prostitutes, but isn't sure it makes sense to tip the pimp.

Golf lessons are a whole different ballgame, Scott.

No, I tip the plumber to make sure he hikes up his jeans. He should stick some caulk in that crack...

Actually, the wife tips the plumber. Keeps the bills down. Damn truck is at my house every day at lunchtime.

Hey, wait a minute..... :hunter:

I think your plumber is clogging your wife's pipes.

Just a guess....

Just as long as there's no backup....

Depends on what she looks like and if the wife's with me.

& Budd, speaking of a different ballgame, the wife might be a plus...

"oh, there won't be any money, but when you die you'll recieve total consciousness" :)

Really, the tip he gets is you telling all your friends how good he is. That's where his money will be made.
