Alright, you've been eyeing a golf club (s) and you finally go out and demo it, you nail every single one, you buy the clubs, then you can never really get that exact same feeling the day you demoed.
I've gone out and demo'd clubs and found out that they are garbage when I expected them not to be. Like the TM 580. Just couldn't get it to work. I've also gone out and demo'd clubs i expected to be garbage and was pleasantly suprised. Like the Nike clones i hit two weeks ago. Or, the Dunlop Loco driver.
I re-shafted my driver with the help of the tech guy's recommendation at Callaway basically on a whim.
But i've never had the problem you've described. Perhaps you're just putting a little too much pressure on yourself and it's playing into you game. Just curious, but is it the irons?
No, not the irons at all, i expected them to be very hard to get used to, i'm really on the same level we fit perfect, i just went back into past memory and thought about how past purchases have gone,
btw, i know not to listen to the salesman, it helps, he was a H.S. golfer last year and i played one of my worst days with him there so he never has anything constructive to say to me
i have never really gone super bust on any buy, the only real gamble i've taken was the Tom Watson wedges and they have just turned out excellent for me
