Sounds like you have the ball too far back in your stance.

Trying playing it off the inside of your left foot (for a right hander). Catch the ball on the upswing. That way, you'll elevate the ball into the air much more easily.

If you are swinging up to get the ball in the air it will stay low. You want to swing down on the ball to make it go higher.

Golden rule of golf, what ever you think will fix a swing flaw, do the opposite.

Your swing may be too flat...I know in High School, I was playing basbeball and golf and my swing was just crazy. It was much to flat like a BB swing and I couldn't get any height.

If you hit the ball down, it will impart more backspin for the ball to stay up. It can also balloon the ball too much, robbing you of distance...
I'm currently changing my swing (my swing is always a work in progress :p) because my driver ball flight gets way too much backspin due to too much hit down, and the ball climbs up in the air.
To get you an idea on the correct ball flight, here's a picture I draw (sorry for the bad drawing). The one on top has too much backspin, the bottom one is the ideal one. If I remember correctly the ideal launch angle should be between 12 and 15 degrees?

BTW boxer, what is your driving distance?

That's not bad, nothing wrong with those distances.

Have you tried using some other driver options? Maybe you have a dead head on your big stick. Maybe try demoing a few new drivers, see what the results are.
