So I threw my wedge up on E-bay last week. Set a reserve for 45 bucks, same as the buy it now price.

After 34 bids, the price was $42.50. Nickel and diming bastards! If you're gonna bid 42 bucks only, then bid 42 bucks and be done with it. Don't nickel and dime your way up. That's just plain stupid.

In my re-listed auction (as the 45 dollar reserve wasn't met), I put in a disclaimer that said I had an reserve of 45 bucks. And what does the first nimrod do? He bids 1 dollar. I had a friend bid 2 bucks on a hunch just to see if the guy was indeed a mental defect. True as can be, this guy is a moron.

JUST BUY THE DAMN CLUB! 3 bucks? That's a latte for chrissakes!

Rant off.

I'll be in the bathroom.

Nobody evers offers full price for anything. Make the reserve a little less so they feel like they're getting a deal.

Sales 101, brought to by the DaveE Internet School of Business. :p

Does the ferrule have a stripe on it? What color.
That is a true question from a callaway wedge I sold, Yes, there was a pic that showed the ferrule.

This one has no stripe on the ferrule.

That's it, I'm pulling the wedge and smashing it.

I just got an e-mail asking if shipping was free when it clearly states the shipping costs.

"Cally wedge.....yes.....56*.....yes......so shipping should be free, especially since it doesn't have a stripe on the ferrule."

Feck.

That's okay Rock. My favourite eBay experience lately is that set of MP30s that I bought from a 0 feedback guy (figured it was under $200, so at least it'd be protected by eBay's buyer protection). I sent payment right away and then two days later, payment was returned denied because the address isn't confirmed (which wasn't specified in the auction as a requirement) so I emailed the guy like 12 times, called him and left a message and haven't heard back, so I'm leaving negative feedback on Monday (I sent him a final email telling him that if I don't hear from him by then, then I'd leave negative).

Also, I have to contact Paypal because when they returned the payment, it was like $9 lower than what was taken out in the first place. What a bunch of crap!

Reason they don't ship to non-confirmed addresses is to protect the seller as well. True he should have put that in his listing, but at least he had reason to. Once I sold something on ebay, a $250 item to someone without a confirmed address. The buyer said he never received it, so I went to paypal and ended up being screwed since he didn't have a confirmed address.

On the rare occassion that I sell on ebay, I will deliberately put that confirmed addresses only, even if it's a $5 item.

And that's all well and good, I don't care if he'll only ship to confirmed addresses, but it would be nice if he'd reply to a bloody email.
