FALL OUTING - LET's RESCHEDULE

Guys:

I am thinking that it will be a good idea to reschedule our outing until Spring for a variety of reasons:

1) Unfortunately our business deal which we have sought for so long has not yet come through. Hurricane Katrina has caused much uncertainty for this.

As a result of my inability to make a commitment weeks in advance - I think this has made it harder for a large group to definitely plan ahead. For this - I apologize. Ideally, I would love a group of 12 players as this size group creates a great deal of fun with various bets, etc.

2) Frankly, I want a time when Sling can come. This is his site and he is the reason we are all here on a daily basis. Due to a hard scheduling conflict next month, he cannot make it.

I hope that has not caused too much hardship on anyone. I think we will do much better when we all can confirm it firmly - 3-4 months in advance. I want to get a good time for all of our regulars here who want to come.

This also will give people on a tight budget several months to stash away $100 a month or so to cover costs. I know most of us are on tight budgets and this will help...

Hope nobody is inconvenienced by this...

Rusty, but salivating to play.

Spring sounds good. This fall ended up being just a bitch to try and get away for me, not to mention a financial hardship. Just bad timing.

I think come April-May, i'd be in better shape to come in terms of work and the amount of money that I can squirrel away from the GF.... :p

Loop...please accept my apologies and my warmest invitation for the springtime...This has been quite a saga for me and I really believe we will get a larger group in the spring and give those of you in the colder climates a great jump start on next year's season...

The inlaws will need to be here to help out with the baby... the more advance notice the better :) I'm going to try my best to make it.

well, if it gets rescheduled to February, during my reading break, I could swing it more easily...maybe

next semester I have class on Weds (9-9) and Fri - so either reading break in February or later into early May, I could go

No problem. I checked for flights yesterday and all the cheap SWA flight were gone anyway.

I'm in complete agreement on doing this when Sling can come. Without Shottalk there couldn't be a Shotalk outing.

Let's try to establish a date early so we all get the best rates possible. Maybe we could even get the Irishman to come. KA, I know your not Irish but I'm including you in this group. ;)

That's probably best for me. I had a conflict with the last date I saw posted.

Thanks...the tournament will go off much better if I have 1-2 'locals' who can help with transport...

We will try to do a poll in the winter to find dates that are good for everyone...

Could always do Myrtle, we have a guy on site who arranges these trips and then it wouldn't hinge on the availability of one person.
