A fine early post...I don't think we've ever talked about this one...

I don't have one in particular but several in no particular order....

1) Els
2) DiMarco
3) Sergio
4) Furyk
5) Clarke
6) Toms

I also enjoy watching Tiger when he is charging but cannot stand his behavior when he is acting like a jerk so he is not on my list...

That's the funny thing about Tiger, when he's on, EVERYBODY loves him. He charges the crowd, I'm screamin at the tv saying "Great Shot Homie!!". All that silly stuff we do. But when he's not on, he really is a snobby brat of a kid stompin around the course. I just watched the Bobby Jones movie "Stroke of Genius" w/Jim Caviezel (Sp??). He was HORRIBLE!! Throwing his clubs, hit a lady in the leg. He'd curse and spit, it was comical. Point is, Tiger is similar in a childish way.

Okay, now for some of my favs. . .

1) Im a huge Tiger fan, even though he's still not where he was
2) I like Els
3) Vijay!!
4) Philly Mickleson, the gentleman golfer. He visibly (I wouldn't know for real)--but he visibly looks like a really nice guy. And I love it when he wins. He just seems like he deserves it.

I haven't seen Sergio play for awhile, but he's fun to watch. At least when he's not in his pre-swing routine. . .tick tock, tick tock, tick tock. . .

tick tock.

Freddie!

Would like to see Tiger get "it" back and win a bunch more majors but Freddie has always been my favorite. Payne was right up there too, especially in later years when he calmed down. Davis Love and some others cuz they also hunt and fish.

Vijay all the way for me.

I like Adam Scott quite a bit too.

Two of my favorites right there.

You know, I liked Jesper for a while, he doesn't seem to shoot so well anymore, but found him entertaining. I've lately liked to watch Adam Scott, but I guess my current favorite is Sergio. His fire is great, seeing a pro with seemingly so much desire to birdie every hole............

Good question. I've never really picked a favorite. This has been one of the true separators to me between golf fans and NASCAR fans. (Okay, there are lot's of other differences, but I won't go there.) I find myself rooting for underdogs, players on the cusp of history, those kinds of things. I did pull HARD for Jerry Pate a couple of weeks ago when he came close to winning one of the senior events, but that's an Alabama tie-in rather than picking Jerry as a favorite.

I gotta say I'm finding it hard to pick from the current crop - numero uno was and always will be Tom Watson closely followed by Seve and Payne Stewart, - he had that Tiger thing going on, pumped fists and the like

Current crop would be Podge Harrington, Freddie and *whisper* Monty

Vijay is my favorite, though if Tiger is in contention, I always cheer for Tiger. History you know.

I like Vijay because of his work ethic. He didn't get to be "great" because he's naturally gifted. The man just flat out works, and does ANYTHING he can to improve. Plus he's never been afraid of Tiger.

It seems everyone on tour likes Vijay because he's always willing to help anyone with their game. From all that I've read, he's very personable to other pros. The only one he seems to dislike is Tiger, and I feel that's great for the game. You need some friction out there. Like this exchange I read about from a final round last year on the first tee when Tiger and Vijay were playing together:

Tiger: "Good Luck."

Vijay: (showing his golf ball) "Titleist one."

Awesome.

Everyone else is peripheral, and when in a pinch, I cheer against the God-guys. You know, Lehman, Steve Jones, etc. etc. etc. Those guys who feel God is their F'in caddy. Like he cares what they shoot.

In no particular order

Tiger - Can't beat his winning aura.
Sergio- Great charisma
Adam Scott - What I wish my golf swing looked like

LPGA
Natalie Gulbis - The swing makes me scratch my head and wonder how she does it.
Paula Creamer - Same as Gulbis, very interesting swing.
Grace Park - Great tempo, smooth swing
