i've been working on the feeling of how one releases before impact, does everyone feel that the wrists go kinda limp and allow the club to sort of come around as more a hinge type motion, or do they keep the wrists firm and bring the hands through, if this is hard to comprehend i'll try to explain some more if you need me to, lets just say that this is just for a normal shot, say a normal 7 iron, just your normal 7 iron not killing it or laying off of it

The wrists should hinge. To get this feel, sit in a chair and swing a club baseball style while keeping your butt firmly in the chair. As you swing slowly you will feel the need to turn your hands over, when you do your hands will naturally unhinge. If you can take that feel and keep it with your natural swing you will see a huge jump in distance.

Usually you look into your rearview mirror & think "oh Shit, that SOB's gonna hit me" Then your sphincter tightens up & then you hear & feel "BLAM". That's when everything goes dark & the next thing you know is that you're copying down someones insurance policy number! :D

Ha! That also can happen if you don't have a car :D

Gun, release with your hands by rolling your right arm over your left, and with your body by keeping your head behind the ball.
But you know I'm a hacker too, so take my advice lightly :)

I really think that's what has kept more people from having fun playing golf. I've been playing for 23 years and have never thought about releasing the club. It's a natural part of the swing. If you coil correctly your swing will be on plane and the wrists will cock naturally. Bottom line is don't get caught up in thinking about every little thing. One or two key thoughts should do it.
