I finally got to the range today on my lunch break and I love my new TaylorMade, I dont know that I've ever hit the ball as far. even if its not right on the sweet spot. I can hit approx. 50 yrds farther than my old driver. I recommend for anyone who doesnt want to spend r7 kind of money but still want a quality driver.

I'm sorry if I missed it in another thread, but what was your old driver? 50 yards is a pretty substantial improvement, and I am glad to hear you are hitting your new investment well...:smilie_tm

Callaway big birtha 11 degree, old club, I might could hit it as far, but usually averaged about 200-215 yards, I hit the TaylorMade about 245-250 today so not quite 50 yards probably, but definatley an improvement

Well seeing the loft difference almost speaks for itself, I didn't doubt you, but there are always those guys who magically hit their new driver 50 yards farther, with absolutely no reason or proof for the to do so. I think you'll like that club, shes a keeper..........

see guys im not seeing the improvement you guys are with my new driver, i bouht a 430cc walter hagen 9.5 degree driver, over my old 400cc 9 degree driver, and im hitting maybe 5-10 yards farther, i have a swing speed of about 100-105. any ideas? if i got this driver would that add some distance?

It's not always the driver. What kind of distance/loft/slices/hooks are you getting with your new Hagen? If you're getting basically the same kind of drives with the new as you did the old, maybe a couple lessons would help more than going out and spending more $$ on another new driver. just my opinion

Second, I will say that I like the quality of the Hagens. I bought the Hagen SB3 iron set a couple of weeks ago. It includes the 3/4 iron hybrids. I like the Hagen equipment a lot

Sorry for threadjacking!!

congrats on the xd.

i didnt see a very big difference when i swithched.the only thing is it gives me a little more room on miss hits.also it doesnt draw the way my old club did.but ot may be a little straighter.it also lowered my trajectory so i may get 5-10 yards more on the ground with it when it rolls out,

See TSIGuy, your change was not as drastic, you have basically the same loft, just a new driver, which doesn't pre-empt any change. A difference you may see is more/less workability and or harder/easier to hit. The difference form an 11 degree to a 9 degree driver is rather drastic hence his large improvement

Going from a very small steel driver to a large ti will give you better results than going from a 350 ti to a 410 ti.

if i have a swing speed of 102mph, why am i only hitting the ball 250 max? thats with an absolutely perfect drive, planets aligned and everything.
