Bass?

Being from the East Coast of Canada, I'm not familiar with too many of the warmer water species. We fished a lot of trout and salmon in rivers and lakes back home. Cod and Mackerel were usually the salt water fish of choice.

Here in VT everything is on the fly. I went twice last summer and nothing beats outsmarting a rainbow with a piece of cotton and some string :)

That looks like your largemouth is close to 3 lb--a bragging fish up north. Your son has a nice fish as well. Well done!

Are you post-spawn yet?

WTF kind of question is that? ;)

Of course he does and he stinks just like me. :) So does his brother, by the way (although I'm told the brother has some considerable chipping ability).

My bass was 4.1 lbs according to the scale and Tyler's was 2.4

Jeffrey got skunked.

I got two more Ashworth's on ebay this week.

The wife is taking me to task over it.

The daughter says I am addicted.

It's become a secondary sport. Shirt hunting on ebay.

Still like your shirt Sling..and love the price.

Nice pics, even better fish.

Somewhere in the back of the closest is a fly rod that I intend to learn to use someday. If I thought I could catch some fish like those maybe I'd get motivated enough to do it.

A couple of lead lozenges to help it along, perhaps? :D

I take it you're still in spawn, then. Tyler's fish definitely has that lean, post-spawn look.

Can't let it go unnoticed

Tyler is my #1 grandson and that's a great fish. And Sling is my #1 son and he has a great fish (always gotta be better, huh dude?) BUT when I was his age I laid into a 5 lb largemouth which my grandpa didn't want to try to boat (we had no net) so he rowed to shore while I kept the line taut and we cranked it up on the beach. Used to have a photo but it ahowed me with a flat belly so was probably trashed.

Was that including the rod?

Fishermen.....the worst liars EVER! :D I have a theory that all fish scales are horseshit so that guys can feel better about themselves. Count me in on that!....lol.
