I would be game for that is the not too distant future.

Looks great. Certainly looks a world apart from the Birmingham in the UK, which a ****hole !! :real angry:

Whereabouts is that in the States, Brav' ? North West, is it ? I know Graeme McDowell went to college there, but very little else about it ...!

Nice looking course, but that hole looks like a ball eating setup.

We are in the southeastern US...Alabama borders Florida.

Your comment is ironic as indeed - Birmingham, AL USA was named after Birmingham, England. We have many suburbs that honor England....Pelham, Leeds, Chelsea. I guess once the trend was started it kept going.

Our local paper has a section on page Two entitled, "What Others are Saying About US" and there was a blurb from the Birmingham, England newspaper about what a rotten place it's "stepchild is"...

I know Graeme's college golf coach. He lives on the 13th hole of my course....

Jeff:

The number one rated public courses in Alabama are not on the RTJ Trail....

1) Kiva Dunes on the ocean is #1

Kiva Dunes > The Kiva Dunes Golf Course

2) Limestone Springs is #2 - rated #60 or so in the U.S. Public Courses.

Limestone Springs Golf Club

It's ironic that for all of the pub about the RTJ Trail, there are higher rated public (and private) courses in the state....

IF the group ever came here, we'd spent an entire day at Limestone. Its awesome...
