Request feedback of anyone that has attended golf schools. I just registered for 7-day Ben Sutton Golf School in Sep.

Never been to a school. I've been schooled many a time.

Come back and give us feedback on it.

I've thought about it but never wanted to spend that much $$...I think a 7 day school would be outstanding though.

So many guys come on here asking about a one day school for $400 and we usually advise them to take a series of lessons over a period of weeks/months.

I think a 7 day - intensive golf school would likely be outstanding as you mind would assimilate much of it overnight and you would get it reinforced quickly by your instructors over successive days.

Keep a diary and let us know how it goes. I honestly have never met anyone who went to one of these and would like to hear about it...

I've never been but have a friend who went to a 7 day school. I'm sure it's different for everyone but he thought it screwed him up more than it helped. Maybe he drank too much beer who knows.

I think it would be fun so be sure to let us know what it was like.

Ben Sutton Golf School

I just got back from Ben Sutton Golf School. I took the 7-day, and it was awesome. My instructor (Charlie Tawse) was great. I leared so much. The student/teacher ratio was 5/1. This was great, I didn't have the teacher breathing down my back all the time, but he was there if I had a question. This school has a 50 acre learning facility, with real holes and playing conditions, (sand, water, ect). Most schools just have a driving range. The school teaches all aspects of the game. I learned so much. I have practice drills, to do, and the instructor gives you his home phone, and e-mail, to follow up with any questions I have.

LOL...7.30am out on the course, a desparate DKOhio puts into action the emergency plan. Cell phone in hand, he hits the speed dial to Dr. Charlie.

"Hey Doc, I just hit a shank, what the hell do I do now??"

Dr. Charlies puts the pillow up round his ears regretting giving out his number...

HAHAHA I can see that happenning if someone rude enough got ahold of his number.

Glad to hear it was worth it, w/out doing any research how much does a 7 day school cost? I cant imagine that it being worth that kind of money unless I were to start playing more and get serious. Playing once a week doesnt justy spending thousands of dollars at this point in time. especially since winter will be here soon. WE DONT LIKE SNOW!

The 7 day school cost $1,700. It included all meals (which were great), hotel, school, and golf after school at a country club.
