Golf Schools

Does anyone know of any comprehensive golf schools that are geared toward improvement, and arent of the "golf school vacation" variety? I am looking for something long term that is geared toward preparing someone for the mini tours and not one of these 5-day type golf schools. Thanks a bunch!

You would be better served by finding a golf teacher that can provide 1 on 1 lessons.
Sam randolf is one that comes to mind. He won the us amature and has 2 pga wins so he knows what it takes to get there. He is easy to work with and uses a simple style.
There are several guys just like him around the country, just make sure they have played on tour, that is the expierience you want to draw on.

Right now I work with a golf instructor who is quite accomplished, though he was never on the tour. I am now looking for something that is a little more formal, and intensive, but I dont really want to ask him, because I dont want to hurt his feelings. Is there anything like that out there? Second, how much are you willing to spend. I know of some great golf schools but they are pretty expensive.

I am 27 years old, and I will pay whatever I need to, relative to how long the school lasts and how good the reputation is.

I attended Ben Sutton golf school. My teacher (Charlie Tawse) played on the tour 10 years. He works with pro's on tour too. There is also an instructor (I forgot her name) that plays on the LGPA.

Im kinda interested in the same thing. I want to go to a formal school for at least 3-4 days to practice and practice. Im only 24 but I would like to work for a mini tour in the next year or two. But honestly the best experience your going to get is with a 1-on-1 lesson scenerio. Because you can ask more questions and learn more in less time.

If your heart is set on a school the cheapest I found (with best reputation) was http://www.ritson-sole.com/. And they have locations in ~6 states so you can go to the one closest to you. I know they made it in the top 25 schools in Golf Digest though I would put little merit into that because money can influence who gets listed. But the curriculum for the classes sound very good. On that note do some homework and see if it fits the budget. I plan to go to either the myrtle beach or New York location next spring.
