I was in a Golfsmith this weekend and they had lots of older Callaway drivers for 80 bucks. You may try looking at their online site under pre-owned clubs. If you can find them on Ebay the Cobra SZ 450 Tour is a great driver but be warned of the high kick shaft. If you have problems getting the ball airborne you'll only hit worm burners with it. It only comes in 8*. Lots of companies make them but you may also try Bang Drivers (www.banggolf.com) Find someone online who sells them. They are a good driver also.

Great Big Bertha II with Grafalloy Blue shaft.

Cleveland Launcher 400 with NV shaft.

Big Bertha 454 with stiff shaft.

All of these are gold clubs. Go out and hit them long all day.

deals are being had on the cleveland 400's,

since taylor made comes out with a driver every week or so, the price on old ones drop somewhat fast, the TM R580, 540 are good,

i personally love my TM burner 420 if they can be found, you don't have to swing and the ball goes a mile, maybe the driver is just made for me but i got a steal paying $100 for it brand new

I have several 7.5-8.5 drivers. I am not sure why you want a low lofted driver but I have um if you want um.

TSI,

I doubt you'd find just a head available. However, if you find yourself skying your 9.5*, i would venture a guess that a shaft change might be more in order.

Maybe try something with a mid to high kick. That will give you a lower launch angle and maybe help out with that skying problem.

A 9.5* driver is perfect for most guys out there, or even a 10.5* driver. You want to get a high launch with maximum carry, the perfect drive.

I would venture a strong guess that going to a 7* driver even wouldn't help you with the same setup (shaft) as you have now.

Have you been to have your swing analysed? They will be able to properly educate you on what shaft/loft combo you should be using for your current swing.

Just some thoughts....

Check out www.golfclubsandmore.com and look at the TurboPower Ti700 driver heads. You can get one for $67.95 plus S&H. It's a copy of the TM R7 Quad and I've got two of them that are working out fine for me.

Which Aldila shaft do you have in your current driver? I assume the s65 is the S flex and the 65 is the weight. If it's the NV65 S flex, the recommendation of trying a mid to high kick shaft isn't the answer, the NV65 has a mid/high kick point. If it's the Aldila ONE Hi launch, that's a different story. Even that shaft in a 9.5* head shouldn't be hitting the ball too high, not enough to cause a problem. But that said, if you want a lower ball flight, that's your choice.
Do you know what your launch angle is? Have it tested on a launch monitor? If not, you should. If it's not over 14 degrees, it's not too high. Depending on your swing speed, it would be ideal if your launch angle is around 13-15 degrees, even higher if your swingspeed is lower than average.

its the stiff one, stats and whatnot at the bottom of the page

who knows! dumb game

That is an awesome shaft, but if you're looking for a lower ball flight, I'd recommend the Graffaloy Blue. I know the NV is a high kicker and some guys find that the NV launches the ball low, (hence the NVS) I say to them - Don't try the Blue then, you won't like it... hell I'm not even sure if I like it.

If you like that shaft (the NV), then maybe dropping a degree in loft might be your answer. I thought about going 8.5 until I hit the Blue, now I'm glad I have a 9.5 loft in my driver of the month.

If you're like me, you'll notice a big difference in the kick between the NV and Blue... Depending on your speed and tempo, the Blue might not be an option though. Ask Sling... he has the prolaunch (NVS equivalent) and hates it.
