I know I mentioned in a couple of threads how poor my play was over the weekend. So today I decided to google a few things that I thought might be the problem.

It seems no matter what you type in you get a million + responses but somehow I managed to find one that fit my problem perfectly. I won't bore you with all the details, but by applying a tip that I read I found that my head was too far forward at contact. Eureka!

It's hard to believe that not that many years ago I was resisting using the internet at all and now I'm totally hooked.

I didn't even know what a golf forum was until last Spring. Anybody else new to this or am I just that far behind the rest of the world. :miz:

Yeah similar to myself I have had a computer for about 6 years but only got broadband in the summer and rarely used the computer before that.

I must say the forums have slightly helped my computer skills though I do IT and know Microsoft office like the back off my hand. I wouldn't of knew how to upload a photo last year but now I own 2 websites, post at 2 golf forums and a v bulletin forum, because I want to know more about it.

Congrats on google find. :)

Dave, welcome to the 21st century.

You are actually ahead of the curve for most people in your age group.

I bet alot of your peers are not computer savvy unless it is a job requirement.
I have been doing it for only 6 years or is it 7? I forget but I don't go near a computer for my job....I'm just a total gadget guy.

I'll give you a little google trick you may not know about, it helps narrow the search.

The + key is key.....for instance, type in "golf swing" and you get a broad range of results, type in "golf swing + short game" and the results are much more specific. This works for all google searches, Golf courses, golf courses + Connecticut rather than golf courses in Connecticut, and so on.

This would indicate that you have your head set too far forward at address. I venture a guess that you move your head back during the backswing (duh...), and are moving it back to where it should actually be at address.
The crowe knows all- caw!!!
OK, so maybe the above wasn't addressed to you, but I at least got the answer right, even if I didn't show my work. ;)

Good find, dude...

Thanks for the tip. Maybe I'll only get 500k responses now. The truth is I started using the internet because of business. My daughters helped get me become interested in other uses and then my own curiosity took over.

Crowe, you were only part right, for me at least. My head doesn't really move until the downswing and then it goes forward. It's really obvious once you realize what's going on but I think it's going to take some work for a permanent fix.

I guess we can't have our yearly goals etched in stone. :miz:

Ya like porn. ;)

Don't deny it, everyone looks at porn. Especially when using a search engine. Try searching for anything, it's usually linked to a few porn sites if you look hard enough.

My speciality just click on images and key in something as simple as " hot women" and it is porn galore.

But make sure you very what you type in you get bored with the same stuff over and over again. :p

I've noticed that. You can type in just about anything and get porn, expecially when looking at images. :wow:

Make it a game with your daughters, they get to do the old Jack Grout to you and hold your hair while you hit balls - you'll be keeping your head still in no time.

I get surprised all the time.

Last night I am on an airplane coming back from a business trip.

There is a 65 year old woman sitting in my row and we talk for a minute or two before I bury my head back in my book.

About ten minutes later I hear a beeping coming from her seat.

She is over there on her Palm Pilot just pounding on the screen with her stylus.....
