I am playing in our Member-Member tourney this weekend...

This is a two man best ball. My index is 8.7 and my partner is 10.1. This puts us in the 2nd Flight.

This is a fun deal...we pay $70 and play two rounds and get a bunch of goodies....(I'll let you know what I get after Saturday's round). We also will have a pretty good cocktail party on Friday night with a band etc.

Saturday:

1) Get up early and watch The Open all morning until about 11:00. Go warm up and play at 12:30. I'll see almost all of the Open coverage before I leave.

Sunday:

1) Play at 7:30 and should finish about 11:45. Go into the grill and watch the final 90 minutes of the tournament.

I wish all weekends could be like this...

BTW - the last round I played was one of the worst I have had this year - 88. I posted a -7 on bdcrowe's website.

Let's see how I react this weekend.

Sounds like a perfect weekend. Playing golf, watching the Open, drinking beer and eating good food. If you could somehow fit a really hot hooker into all of that you'd really have something. :p

Be sure to let us know how you do.

Sounds awesome B, can't beat a good time...hopefully your prizes are awesome.

I have a good golf weekend coming up as well. We're going down to Bellingham, WA (about an hour from Vancouver, BC) to our landlord's cabin on Lake Whatcom with them (it's called Sudden Valley, for the people who know the area).

The landlord husband and I are probably going to squeeze a twilight in on Friday, then play again on Saturday and maybe even on Sunday morning. Hopefully I play as well as I have been lately...at least in my better rounds. Last five rounds have been 89/98/88/107/88. Roller coaster golf.

I am glad to see those sub-90 rounds...

Sounds like a great weekend and you will likely have some great weather.

Down here - we are par-boiling in the afternoons. I have a rule about not playing past Noon in July and August but have to do it for my tourney on Saturday.

Old Timers here have an old phrase about our golf weather...

"You can play golf ten months out of the year in Alabama. July and August are too hot".

Hope you have a great time and get well down below 90....

Good luck in your tourney this weekend B. I had a great golf weekend this last weekend. I went home to Lima, OH and played Saturday, and Sunday I was on cloud nine even though I suck it was a great time.

We played in a similar event last weekend. Our entry was $50 per team $10 of which went to skins. We made eagle on the par 5 4th and took one of only 2 skins for the day. 47 teams in the tourney meant a juicy $235 for that skin :D
