I have been playing at a small course in the dallas area one problem is there is no slope given on the course. How do I figure this course for handicap? Thanks

USGA formula must have/use slope, best would be to use 113 as it is the standard or "average".

Which course?

Have you tried looking the course up at the USGA website? I believe there's a section where you can look up courses by name or area, and it'll give all the handicapping info, if the course has that.

Right the course has no slope so it is not listed. It is just a small course I like to play it. It is called pecan trails.

That is the course that has 19 holes. You don't count your worse hole:D .

113 is about right.

I hate to sound like a NEWB here but Im enrolled in a local program that automatically adjusts my handicap based on teh scores I post so I dont know what all goes into it. If I had 10 scorecards from one course and the slope rating what are the calcs?? Ive been told the USGA takes the 5 best rounds out of the ten and averages those against the slope but I dont know how that works.

Obagain Actually they added 3 new ones so 21 in total my luck my only birdie falls on one of those 3. ITs an ok course for a new golfer 19 with cart 9 walking. I do not want to spend 45 bucks to play bad golf lol.

Justice, I just followed your link, based on the yardages and hole descriptions I would put the slope closer to about 105-107 as it's a pretty short course. I'm just guessing though
