Handicap service

Did a quick search, but so many people include "handicap" in their signature, i think it went a little nuts.
anyway, I don't belong to a club right now, and want to enter in a bunch of scorecards to establish my current index

was curious if anyone could recommend one of the online services that track USGA handicaps. Please let me know who you use, and why you like it

If you are looking for an official USGA handicap you can try Golfsmith. Golfsmith Golf Club: USGA Golf Handicap, golf handicap service, handicap service, online handicap, golf handicap
They charge $30 per year for this service. I don't use it so I can't tell you anything about it.

If you want something unofficial you can use the handicap tracker that ualtim set up for shottalkers on Yahoo.
