Ya getting your drivers license today??

I remember when I had my 16th birthday. It was on a weekday and my mother was in a great mood. picked me up from school and simply sprinted down to the Driver's License Examination Bureau, giving me pointers the entire time.

The last thing she said when I got in the car with the Trooper was, "Don't blow it!!!". I passed, barely.

I think she was tired of driving me around everywhere.

Happy B day Gun.

I got to take the driving test twice. I had practiced in my brother's VW but when I got there they said the headers made too much noise. I ended up using my dad's huge Pontiac and hit one of the cones while parking. Instant failure.

Ended up liking that Pontiac though. 421 with three dueces and positrac. Just what a 16 old needs.

I got my license when I was 18. We had 4 kids in the family and one car. Fat chance of using it ever. Plus, all my friends had their own cars (we weren't well off at all).

When I was 18, I finally got my license and bought a car, a 5 speed, and didn't know how to drive stick. Taught myself in an evening, the rest is history.

Now everyone in my family has a car. Funny how times change. Even my little sister.

The in-laws have 2 trucks (fullsize GM and 1/4 ton Mazda), 3 cars (two Volvo's and a Jaguar) and a motorcycle.

You are a man of good judgement. She is very pretty and the family is successful. Keep this up my friend - it is a recipe for peacefulness.

I learned to drive an automatic. At the time, British sports cars were what everyone wanted. My group had MG's, Austin Healy's and Triumphs. These were tiny, underpowered cars that were a blast to drive - all had manual transmissions.

One of my friends taught me to drive a manual in the high school parking lot. I admire you that you taught yourself. I think I wore out his clutch in one afternoon on this...

well, just went on a shopping spree w/my bday money, my coach gets a catalogue with discounted items from nike, and there are some really awesome deals, for example, i purchased a nike bag, originally 140 bucks, for 65, i also purchased another pair of sp-3 shoes, supposed to be 60, for 31, and a pack of 22 replacement spikes, should be 20 bucks, for 6.50, then, i just got another 80 bucks, and i was really thinking of getting some rain pants, a pair that zips off at the knee to form shorts, i saw a pair in edwin watts from a company called firethorn for 50 bucks, any thoughts
